James and the Giant Peach?

Guess what?  The Goatmother has noticed something new on her head.  No, it isn't a new scarf.  It is soft and fine, and ever so minute.  Hair!  Is it possible?  At the moment the Goatmother's head looks very much like a giant peach.  It feels like it too.  The only problem?  (Of course.  There is always a problem.  This is the Goatmother we are talking about.).  It is white.  Or perhaps it is pale blonde (Madonna in the making?), but I'm thinking white is more likely.  I guess time will tell.  Maybe any darker hair was scared silly during chemotherapy and refuses to come back out.  Hiding down there in the hair follicles, shaking in its tiny little boots.  Chemotherapy would affect me that way, I can tell you.

Perhaps we should offer the recalcitrant strands some sort of enticement.  Give them a worthwhile reason to reappear.  But what?  I know!  Peanutbutter! Of course!  It might be a little sticky on the head, but I would certainly be willing to help the Goatmother out.

Oh no! Perhaps it is Malfoy white and she has joined the Slytherins. Let's hope not.

Well, I say it's good news, whatever colour it is. (It might have been purple, you know.) And the Goatmother has a lovely complexion - peachy you might say - which will look very nice with any hair colour.

Now we'll all be holding our breath to see if it's curly or not. :)

Dear Melodie,
Really? Even peach fuzz?

Marigold said...

Dear Mrs. Micawber,
I gotta' tell you. Don't hold our breath too long. It could be a long time before we know and we'd hate to be responsible for any blue Micawbers. :)

Dear Mrs. Micawber,
That would be YOUR breath. Not ours. :)

White! You are complaining about White??? -sigh-

Don't you know there are ladies, who covet White Hair? Ladies who so wish they had White Hair? Instead of a mish-mash-of-varieties-of-gray.

Ho, ho, you thought I was going to go low, and say the name of that silly book, didn't you? Heh,heh, heh.

Well, anyway, it's super that your hair is beginning to "re-surface". :-) Think of how delicate those little strands must be! Delicate and a wee bit afraid of sticking their tender shoots, up into this world. Now, please EMBRACE THEM.

Please pet them, and love them, and tell them that they are the MOST beautiful strands of hair, which you have ever seen! Everyone loves praise. Even hair!

"Auntie" sezzzzzz... :-)

All kidding aside, this is wonderful!

Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"

Wow! Fuzzy already? I'm anxious to see/hear what texture and curl your new do comes in as! Good health is amazing in itself and a fast start to a head of hair is an excellent sign!

Dear Auntie,
Hee Hee! You crack me up! This is exactly what I told the Goatmother. Well, that and pet me and give me some Peanuts. :)

Marigold said...

Dear DebH,
Hmmm...do you think we should start a poll? Do you think Vegas would be interested?

That is very exciting news. Welcome hair! Cornsilk yellow in acknowledgement of the season?

Snowcatcher said...

Okay, now that I'm done chuckling at all your comments... White is the easiest color to dye. :)

I'd like to think of it as pure, unsoiled, and something to keep the head warm during the coming season. :)

I, too, will be holding my breath with Mrs. Micawber to see if it comes out curly. And I don't mind blue breath...

Marigold said...

Dear Kelly,
Well, my friend, not so sure there is going to be any yellow to it. :) Guess we'll see what we see!

Marigold said...

Dear Snowcatcher,
Well, the Goatmother says no dyeing for her. She's staying away from as many chemicals as possible from now on. So if it is indeed white, it will just have to stay white. Plus, hay, it is like snowflakes isn't it? :) It's all good!

Hair is certainly worth celebrating. It will be all grown back out in time for a nice winter covering. Personally, I think white hair is just wonderful!

Marigold said...

Dear Millie,
It shall be interesting to see. I think we should have a poll. :)

Kelly said...

Hope all is well and Marigold is sharing her peanuts with you.

Marigold said...

Dear Kelly,
All is well. I'm just lazy with all this cool weather, nice hay and Peanuts!

Celebrate the Fuzz! xoxoxoxoxo

Dear MiMi,
Yep! Fuzz is definitely to be celebrated. Of course I believe she is just getting her winter coat is all. :)

I've been under the weather with a virus but showing improvment. If Goatmother were a goat I'd suggest a copper bolus, but otherwise I think as the crop of fuzz matures there may be a beautiful floral wonderment in the making...even if it needs a little help from Clairol.

Dear BuffyBelle,
I'm sorry you've been under the weather...too much slaying??? :) As for the Goatmother...no help from Clairol allowed. :) She's on her own from her on out.
