It is Thursday, and that means time to link to Planet Penny with our Reasons To Be Cheerful for this week!  Be sure to pop on over to Planet Penny (here) to see the worlds cutest felt mice, the ever-handsome Higgins, and see what others who have linked to her site are cheerful about this week!!!

Reason To be cheerful No. 2 -

The first snow of the season.

Reason to be cheerful No. 3 -

Yet another of the most beautiful sunsets!

Reason to be cheerful No. 4 - (Oooo.  Four reasons this week!)

Hi, Marigold. Thanks for visiting and the nice comment on our flowers. But keep your mitts - er, teeth off! We've already lost too many to the rabbits - don't need to add a hungry goat to the mix.

Your snow and sunset are beautiful. And you might think about some purple hair extensions yourself, dear. xxoo

What have you done? Higgins now wants purple hair extensions! Lovely snowy scene. It's still really mild here, which I don't like to complain about but it feels a bit wrong. Thank you for joining in, you brought a smile to my face!x

I hope those swans are nicer than the geese we have here.

PS. My human is making me say that the dog is cute.

Thanks for commenting on my post, Marigold. Was your blog page lavender the last time I visited? (Somehow I don't remember that.) But I must say that lavender is my very favourite colour and has been since I was 2 years old.

What a nice dusty first snow. May they all be as pleasant as the first.

Dear Mrs. Micawber,
I had a recent fashion make-over. :) Probably you are recalling the old green circley one.

Dear Ginnie,
I do hope no marauding bands of itinerant goats happen by to nibble your remaining flowers!

Dear Penny,
Higgins would look fabulous with extensions - of a more manly color anyway. :)

Dear Millie,
No one here has gotten close to any swans except one time the goatmother and goatfather encountered some at a winery and they were quite mean! They even had warning signs up. These, come in for the winter and no one gets very close. They just hang out in the agricultural fields.

Marigold, I love your frou, frou pup's feather extensions! Have you ever considered something similar? You have a warm toned coat; you might want to look into something gold colored. Ear decor could become the new barnyard fashion. You could start your own business.

Swans are mean...who knew? They look docile and graceful. They look like someone who would sit next to you and you would do your best to sit up straight and act like a lady. I guess, instead, you would be more likely to be mud wrestling and karate chopping defensively. Thanks for the tip.

Wow....four reasons! Your snow looks very workable.....I'm guessing it gets a lot heavier? My geography is dreadful. I did hear that we were due a severe winter this year, but in all honesty I think our severe may make others laugh. In our neck of the woods, as we are so rubbish at bad weather whenever we do have it, the councils etc.... Go into shock as if they've never seen snow before....same every year! Your sunset is beautiful and so are the swans, ours are protected by the queen and something awful can happen to you if you harm one....I think I've remembered that right!

Purple extensions all the way I say.......do you think they work for cats too?

Marigold said...

Dear Faith,
Knowing how cats are about feathers, I had to laugh when I got the visual in my head of a cat trying to attack the feathers attached to its ears! Yes, our snow gets heavier, but since we are near the water, we fortunately only have it maybe 3 times a year. 'Tis enough!

Hi Marigold!

The trumpeter swans were out in force down the road from us....I grabbed my camera to get some pics only to find out I left the battery on the charger! Oh well, at least I got to enjoy seeing your pics of them. By any chance do you live near the Ben Howard Rd? (one of your pics made me think so...). I really need to think about the things to be cheerful about (especially when it's dark and rainy) and your post was perfect!!

I think I would like purple extensions in my ears too!

Greetings Marigold...I don't usually leave too many comments around because, you know, I'm just so busy eating my peanuts here to but since it is Thanksgiving I thought I'd tell you what I'm thank-ful for..whew, talk about run on sentences...{butt}, you know how that goes!
I am so thank-ful that I don't have the kind of ears that they could stick those extension things on to, like that poor, little dog of yours!!
However, my Goatmother thinks they are ADORABLE! I had to run away when I saw her thinking that!!

Oh yeah, and I'm thank-ful for peanuts too...I mean, is there anything else in the world better than peanuts?!!

Dear Mimi,
Now that is just a silly question.

Dear Wrensong,
Well, I am not sure where that road is. I only get to see the driveway. Unless I have to go to the vet, and then I'm in no condition to know where I am.

Dear Queen Quattra,
Right on!, sistah'! As for the extensions - be afraid. Be very afraid.
