The Visit

Yesterday the goatmother and goatfather walked out of the house just in time to see this sail across the yard. The Cabrarator was promptly put out of sight, although I imagine he would have had his 'talons' full had he decided to take a swipe at that one. Nonetheless, if Cabra thinks she's had a difficult time dealing with the Stick People, it would be nothing compared to what a trip with a young Bald Eagle would be like. AND, he landed in the tree right over our barn! Now what's up with that? Wait a minute. Oh. My. Goat!!! He was after the Peanuts. I'm SURE of it. Oy.

Anyway, Happy St. Patrick's Day! Maybe the Eagle is Irish and he was just out hunting for Leprechauns. Come to think of it, maybe we ought to help. That Pot 'O' Gold would sure enough buy a lot of Peanuts.

OMG - how incredible, beautiful, and frightening all at once! What a great picture. Sure glad Cabra was put away...not that she wouldn't have gone without a tremendous fight, but still...

Good call, Goat mom nad Goat dad. A dog that looked a LOT like Cabra was picked up by a bald eagle here in Maine last year, never to be seen again (and a certain goat philosopher should not arrive at any conclusive plans--inductive, deductive, or otherwise--from that example).

PS- A pot of peanuts would be a very good thing, whether or not it came with a rainbow.

Oh my what a treat to have such a visitor. One day, a few years ago, my neighbor looked up to see a bald eagle flying through the air with one of her rabbits...hmmmm...about the size of Cabra. Keep an eye on her Marigold. You really would miss her.
